  1. A few days ago, Etsy let sellers know that mobile payment options are now available for customers in the US, regardless of where the shop they purchase from is based. Hooray! Let's face it, a lot of us use our phones to browse and shop, and making that process easier and more secure is something we can all get behind. So, from now on, if you live in the US and you use the Etsy app on your smartphone or tablet, you will now have the option to pay using Apple Pay or Google Wallet (depending on your platform.) Hopefully this is something that they will roll out to all countries before too long, and we'll be sure to spread the word if and when they do.

    Happy stitching!

We're busily putting together a shopping guide, mostly to help brand new stitchers get stocked up for the very first time with supplies, but also to point all stitchers in the direction of great stores or websites to get their mitts on floss and aida. And that's where you come in. We know of all the usual suspects, the chain stores in the UK, the websites we most often recommend and one or two big hitters in the US, but to build this invaluable resource properly, we need to hear from you. So where do you shop for your cross stitching supplies? Is there a lovely little indie craft store that you frequent, or a website that offers great range and awesome service? Let us know! We're especially keen to hear from stitchers from further afield, so if you're based in the US, Canada, Australia or anywhere really, please do share your tips with us, and the stitching community at large. Hopefully we'll all discover a fantastic new place to check out. You can leave a comment with your recommendation here, email me at emma@capesandcrafts.co.uk or contact us on Facebook or Twitter. We look forward to hearing, and shopping at, your suggestions!
